For ease of use, you have control over various aspects of the Audio, Display and Text in The Lutheran Study Bible App.
You can access these controls from two places.
- You can tap the elipse: ... in the lower-right of the window to go to Settings & More and select Controls, and then Text.
- Or you can tap the speaker icon in the upper-right of the main Scripture view:
and then tap View All Controls.
Once there, you'll see a tab for each of Audio, Display and Text.
Audio controls available are:
- Display Inline Audio Controls on or off.
- This makes the play button visible at all times rather than hidden under the speaker icon in the upper-right of the view.
- Display Audio Text Highlight.
- This setting will faintly highlight the verse that's being read as the audio moves forward, to help you follow along in the text.
- Sound Speed.
- This allows you to speed up or slow down the audio. Tapping the number will take you from 1.0 (normal speed) to 1.5, 1.8, 2.0 (faster), and then tapping again will take you down to .5 or .8 (slower).
Display controls include:
- Light/dark mode options.
- Red lettering the words of Jesus.
- Showing chapter advancement arrows.
And for Text controls, you can:
- Make the font itself larger using the scroll bar to your desired size.
- The second scroll bar will allow you to adjust the line spacing in the same way.
- You can also select your preferred alignment of the text on your device to either be justified to the right side, or to be center-justified, with spaces showing in shorter lines of text to make each line stop and start at the same spot on either margin.
If you change your mind on any of the above, you can tap "Reset to Default Display" to return everything to the original size and spacing.
